MD Stats League app and website · Version 1, 14 October 2026
Who is responsible
MD Stats League is run by Martin Dinsdale, who is responsible for your information (the data controller). Email hello@mdstatsleague.co.uk with any question or request about your information.
Information we use
Account and sign-in details; your profile and golf club; rounds, scores and statistics; competition entries and results; uploaded images; and account deletion requests. Some league information, including player names and published results, is visible publicly. Email addresses and private scorecard images are not part of public league pages. The Android app can use location when you allow it for golf features.
Why we use information
To run your account and your place in the league: recording your rounds, working out points, tables and statistics, and showing you your results. We need this to provide the service you sign up for. To publish league tables, leaderboards and competition results with players' names and clubs, and to keep the app and website secure and working. These are our legitimate interests. What is public is limited to names, clubs, scores, statistics and results. To use your phone's location to show distances on the course, only when you allow it in your phone's settings. You can turn this off at any time. To send emails about your account, such as confirming your email address or resetting your password. MD Stats League is for adults aged 18 and over.
Service providers and international transfers
We don't sell your information or use it for advertising. These providers handle it for us: • Supabase hosts the database and handles sign-in and account emails. Its servers are in the United States. • Vercel hosts this website. • Google provides the maps in the app and distributes the app through Google Play. • Open-Meteo receives your position on the course, with no name or account details, to look up its height so distances can allow for slope. Your location is not stored in your account. Where a provider handles information outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards in its data protection terms, such as contract clauses approved for transfers from the UK.
How long information is kept
We keep your account information while your account is open. Scores and statistics recorded while the app is in testing are deleted before the 2027 season starts on 1 April 2027. When you ask for your account to be deleted, we delete your personal information within one month. Competition results shared with other players are kept with your name removed, so their records stay complete. We keep a record that your request was handled.
Account deletion
You can ask for your account and its information to be deleted at mdstatsleague.co.uk/delete-account, signing in with the same email and password you use in the app. The app's Account screen links there too. Can't sign in? Email hello@mdstatsleague.co.uk from the address on your account. We'll confirm when your account has been deleted.
Your rights and complaints
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, or object to how we use it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, for example by turning off location for the app. Email hello@mdstatsleague.co.uk and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
